Start with the fuse panel . really look good. even replace fuses just in case. then look at the fire wall where it passes through the fire wall is there a connection block with a bolt in the center. . remove battery if you want to reseat it.
check the connections to the fuse box too. look for any inline fuses ,
see that all accessory ,lighter sockets are working , check the key switch in accessory position.
insert a signal into one of them end connector an trace it back with high freq . only a tech knows what an how to do this.

On the side of your transmission will be a switch with several wires coming out of it. This is your reverse switch that turns on your reverse lights and most likely needs to be replaced

SOURCE: inner door panel removal, renault megane scenic
On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls
SOURCE: 05 Renault Grand Scenic. No dipped headlights. Bulbs and fuses OK
Are u sure that the bulbs are OK? I had no dipped lights on mine, & thought it must be a fuse or another electrical fault. It turned out, both bulbs had gone. I think this often happens when one side goes, the other soon follows.
SOURCE: renault scenic 1.6 16v. occasionally will not start
This could be a possibility of a bad connection to the engine speed sensor or in other terms flywheels sensor or TDC sensor located under the thermostat housing screwed to the gearbox by two bolts, when the problem occurs try playing around with the connector connected to the TDC sensor and then try to start it, renault has a new modified connector and TDC sensor on the market.
I hope this helps.
