Try putting key into key slot. Next try replacing key's battery. Good luck.

The Triangle indication:
Description: MASTER WARNING LIGHT.
The battery ECU has a self-diagnosis system. If the computer, High Voltage (HV) battery system or the components are not working properly, the ECU carries out a diagnosis to detect the malfunction, and illuminates the master warning light in the combination meter together with the HV system warning indicator on the multi information display.
NOTE:
The master warning light illuminates when the HV battery system fails and it blinks when in inspection mode.

The problem may be the check engine light only, whenever it turns on the master warning light may also turn on, if there is an autozone or similar autoparts place close by you can go there and they can diagnose the check engine light using their scantool, then you can reply here to me with the code numbers and I can help, the code numbers are important so please write them down.

You need a scan tool or a code reader to do it but,if the problem still exists then the lights will come back on.You need to retreive the troubles codes from the computer to see what area of the engine that problem exists and go from there.

Either take it to a autoparts store and they will turn it off or disconnect the battery for five minutes and the computer will reset. If it comes back on your local auto parts representative can harmlessly run a code check on it to see what the problem is.

The triangle with an exclaimation mark in the middle is the Master Warning Light . I havn't had time to check out exactly what it is but is is covered in the service reminders part of the owners manual. Google " 2005 prius warning lights . check all 5 doors for closure, the rear hatch usually has the carpet stuck in it.

My Toyota Prius hybrid warning light has come on three times in eight years. If I turn the car off for 20 minutes, the hybrid light is off but the check engine light is on. After a while, the check engine light goes off. I think this problem is related to moisture somehow entering the hybrid vent on the driver's side.
