Follow the Positive lead from the battery. It splits into two paths. One path goes to the starter. The other goes to a fuse panel. There is a 55A fuse there that most likely is blow. There is an additional 45A fuse that may also be toasted.

SOURCE: turn ignition switch -wont start- no noise--

If the sound comes from the starter's solenoid, then you may have corroded solenoid contacts or bad starter. If they are corroded contacts, then for some time you have to try more than once to be able to start your car. That means you will have some warning sings before starter stops working. In some cases replacing the whole starter is the best solution.

93 C1500 4.3 POSITIVE CABLE AND BODY GROUND CABLE MELTED. I REPLACED BOTH BUT I DONT HAVE ANY POWER ANYTHING ON THE FEWS ARE GOOD. WHERE DO I LOOK.

Did you replace the battery as well? If both cables are badly melted it is likely the battery has suffered damage as well. Do you have access to a Multimeter? Set it to Volts DC. With the engine OFF put the red pin to the red positive battery terminal and the black pin to the black negative terminal. If the battery is good you should get a reading of around 12.6 volts or higher. Anything below 9 volts and the battery is probably worn out or damaged.
You will also need to find out what caused the cables to melt. There is most likely a 'Resistance' issue somewhere in the electrics. This is where the voltage is restricted and cannot flow correctly. This generates heat and is possibly the reason the cables melted. Have you 'Jump Started' the vehicle recently? Connecting jumper cables the wrong way around can have a similar effect.

You don't have obdII. That started in 1996. Your obd port is probably under the hood. Total loss of power sounds like a loose or bad cable. Recheck your cables. Make sure they're tight on the battery terminals. Check the other ends of the cables as well. The negative attaches somewhere on you frame. The positive most likely splits in a couple directions. Losing all power has something to do with your cables.

In this situation I would check the starter motor solenoid, you are lucky the ECU did not fry cause it would cost more than the car is worth. Starter motor is not that expensive, also check all main relays and fuses. Check the wiring as well. If all fine the ignition coil and ignition barrell would be last. If it is possible plug a computer and run diagnostics too.

Saturn jumper cables hooked up backwards

Try charging the battery more. Even though your lights may come one, starting a vehicle requires massive amounts of amperage from the batter. It's possible that your jumper cables aren't a thick enough guage to supply enough power as well. Sometimes the vehicle you're jumping from might not have enough power to support your vehicle's starting power requirements.

Hi
Easiest test is to reconnect jumper cables and switch lights on, if these work and no noise AT ALL from starter, NO clicking at all then could be the jumper cables are too light like most are. Try 2 sets of jumper cables. Ensure that the cables are correclty applied, Red to Red and the black is the last connection to a good steel part on your engine, NOT the battery.Always ensure the car being used to jump from is running at all times while cables are connected. When it starts remove this one FIRST also.
