Air conditioner clutch will not come on after I put in one can of Freon.
You have to add 134a refrigerant while the engine is running and the A/C is on max with temp setting at lowest level. Without the proper charge in PSI, the compressor will not kick on. If the pressure is correct under those circumstances, You either have air in the system ( take it and have it pumped down then refilled) or the compressor is bad.
SOURCE: Want to replace fron in 93 ford probe
1993 is a split year, if you have charging ports are a little bigger than the size of a tire valve stem then u have R12, if they are big then you have R134, most all Ford in 93 use R12. In the picture are adapters for a retrofit to R134, these screw on an R12 port, note the large cap R134 cap on the end of the adapter.
SOURCE: Has enough freon but still blows hot air, whats wrong with my air?
First you need to make sure your testing you ac when the car is on. If its still blowing hot air make sure you have the ac setting set and not the fan setting. If thats not the problem make sure the compressor in the ac is running it give off this distinct humming sound when the ac is turned on, you might need to put your ear next to it if you can find it. If the compressor isn't working check the wiring in the car, and make sure the fuse/chip for the compressor are fine.
SOURCE: Air conditioner input won't take freon
Is the ac compressor coming on when you are trying to charge the system?I have never seen a ac service port clogged up.Are you sure the ac system needs freon?A set of ac gauges is the best way to tell. Are you using ac gauges,or just a single charge hose? There are reasons for this problem you are having, but I need some information,If you would, let me know,[email protected]
SOURCE: 1999 Ford F150 AC fully charged with freon is blowing hot air
there are few things you need to check out:
1. if the compressor is overcharged it will shut down and you won't get any cool air
2. the thermostat for your cooling system is bad
3. the link to adjust the temperature is too short (did you feel the switch loose when changing temperature from hot to cold)?
hope this helps.
