Trunk release for 98 pont gp no power, can't find the fuse and the switch itself was checked and was good

Check trunk release solenoid for power and ground when applied from switch. If power and ground ok, then release solenoid is the problem in the trunk lock mechanism. If misssing power or ground, then electrical diagnostics will be required

Why is the trunk popping open with a clicking sound mercury sable problems

I would get the remote checked at a parts store like Autozone. Could be trunk release button is stuck. Also try disconnecting the battery(neg terminal) and then see if trunk locks. The locks are made to work mechanically without electric. This way you would know if it is an electric problem or broken lock.

Locked keys in the trunk of a 1985 chrysler fifth ave; ignition switch is locked; how do i access the trunk?

thats easy, locate the fuse for the electric trunk lock, take the fuse out, hook a piece of wire to one of the contacts where the fuse goes into and hook it to the battery or an acc line in the fuse box then hit your electric trunk switch and it should open,if it doesnt work try the other side where the fuse hooks into

2002 Mercury Grand Marquis. Backup lights won't work

Does pushing the trunk release button make the back up lights illuminate? Has the car been serviced or wrecked before this problem? Have you been golfing and put clubs in the huge trunk. Either the ground wire for the trunk lid devices is bad or the trunk release wire (purple/orange) and the reverse lamps wire (purple/white) have been reversed.

VW Jetta 2003 1.9 TDI trunk does not want to open with remote My Jetta trunk recently started to give me problems without warning. I cannot get the trunk open with the remote. The trunk only opens manually...

It is your wiring coming out of the trunk on the left side. One of the wire are cut because in cold weather when you open the trunk, wire can't move easily in the plastic tube. Sorry for my english.

Trunk latch (electric) does not work on Avalon Touring

Your trunk master switch is probably off. Open the glove box, and, on the driver side of the glove box, the trunk master switch is located there. If this is activated, the remote and the dash switch are deactivated. Please repost if this does not solve your problem.
