Any parts store can tell you the correct bulbs for your Civic. Chilton manuals have wiring diagrams, most libraries have them. Some libraries are on line, so you can find them on your home computer. You will need a library card.

SOURCE: no tail lights working on honda 2008 CR-V

Did you fix this? I have the same issue....honda states it is a controller unit (after the fuse box....before the lights) If there was a short, there is NO protection!! An obvious design flaw.....$350 part + labor. Let me know how you resolved your issue? EdB

Best Buy installed a new cd player in my 03 Tiburon GT. All of my instrument cluster lights no longer work. The fuse is ok. Anyone know the wiring color codes. Best Buy is unco-operative and want me to...

Is fuse 29 the one you say is good? If that fuse is good, check your tail lights. If the tail lights are not working either, check the TAIL LAMP fuse in the engine compartment relay box.
There are 2 different wiring diagrams depending on if you have the amplifier or not. If you have only the basic radio, it would not have the amp. If you have a premium option, it would have the amp.
There is also another wiring color code I got from another website that's different--more like the standard colors. I'm going to include that color code as well in case you find the colors don't match the diagrams.
In the diagrams, there are actually 2 wires that run the light on the radio. One is green and one is brown with a white stripe. An aftermarket CD player will probably not have any wires for the light and just have it come on when the radio is on--day or night. So, if they connected those factory wires anywhere, that may be your problem.
I have pasted all of the relevant wiring diagrams below, though they may be hard to read because of picture size policies at FixYa. Please let me know if you have more questions.

This is the only diagram I could find for tail-lamps. The top wires are voltage, the bottom wire is ground. The brown color wire is voltage for tail lamps. The other color wire is turn or stop, depending. The turn and lower brake lites use the same bulb filament, just not at the same time. The lower brake lites are wired through turn signal switch. I don't know if diagram matches what you have? I looked at several, all showed the same thing.

My 10 amp tail light fuse blows within seconds of me installing a new one. the signal light works.

Check for a short in the wiring, particularly at the bulb sockets connection.
If you have a trailer connection socket, check this also for frayed/damaged wires.
Replace any bulbs that are damaged or suspected faulty.

If you still cant find any problem, remove all bulbs on the tail light circuit - replace fuse - check that is doesn't blow.
Install bulbs one at a time - check fuse as each bulb re-installed- if fuse blows when a particular bulb installed the faulty circuit/bulb is then identified.

Fuse block #33 immediatly blows the fuse. controls left tail light and about 4 other circuits. Problem started after my alarm started going off for no reason. 1998 323is coupe

According to the BMW manual circuit diagram F33 feeds power through the parklight 'on' switch to left front parklight and left tail lights (all grey/violet wire).

Suggest you remove all left side parklight bulbs, then check fuse does not blow.
If it blows without bulbs installed, check wiring/lamp sockets for short to earth.

Instal one bulb at a time, checking fuse status each time.

Perhaps spurious alarm problem is related to faulty alarm wiring- especially if the alarm is an aftermarket installation. Check quality of any spliced joints to the parklight circuit for possible shorts or water ingress.

99 mercury mystide had rear running light broken

If the driver's side tail light is working, it's not a fuse. Use a test light to check for power at the bulb holder. One terminal will be for tail light, the other for brake/turn light. If the is constant power for tail light, replace bulb. If no power, trace wiring from bulb holder to driver's side junction. Probable broken wire between the two tail lights.
