SOURCE: my 2000 yukon xl air conditioner blows hot air in

Have the air conditioning system checked. It is probably low on freon or clogged. Check the condenser in front of the radiator to be sure that it is clean and not obstructed. If there is an auxiliary fan for the air conditioning system, make sure that it is working too. At low speeds air conditioners are less efficient and some require an extra radiator fan to work at slow speeds.

00 Eldorado switches gears, but won't drive/reverse, why?

Correct. When trans is fully hot (about 15 min. driving, or since you can't drive, about 20 min. idle time) with engine running in park, fill until level with mark labeled "Hot".

Hi what this warning mins ( trans hot idle engine) 2000 yukon 4x4 5.3?

It means that the transmission oil is overheating and you need to cool the oil by allowing the engine to idle for a period of time . The transmission oil cooler is in the radiator and that means that the engine temperature will also be running hot . Check oil level in transmission and adjust to correct level. Check the load being carried /towed as this makes the transmission torque converter work harder and the speed you are travelling at What ever the reason I suggest that you run the fault codes to check for transmission problems

My 97 yukon runs at a higher rpm and has vibration and hesation in engine around 2000 rpm and uses almost three times the fuel does not do it all the time

It could be a couple of different issues going on, first I would check to make sure the engine does not have any type of vacuum leak. I check my vehicles with carb cleaner from Wal-mart, the cheap stuff. But be careful! It is very flammable, with the engine running at a idle, spray it in short bursts around the intake and vacuum lines, if there is a leak the engine will either idle up or down. Also, have the computer scanned at your local parts store and see what codes come back. When was the last time it had a complete tuneup? Hope this helps.

Front end

Check the fluid level in the trans. With the engine hot, truck idling in park, make sure the fluid reaches the "HOT" range on the trans dip stick and it is bright red and doesn't smell burnt.

Overheating when outside temp goes above 90 degrees F

on GM vehicles they still use clutch fans and when sitting at an idle for a while the fan is not pulling enough air through the radiator and condensor so therefor the a/c starts to put out warmer air and the coolant temp. will rise a little bit. You could try replaceing the fan clucth and see if that helps any.
