Why Engine becomes unstable after I use A/C?

Hi I have a problem with my Corona 1992 (ST171, 2000 cc). When I turn on Air conditioner and it works for a while and turn it off, engine becomes unstable; namely its rpm falls and if I don't help the engine by pushing accelerator engine stops. Can you help me? Regards Babak

rpm is OK when there is no A/C in. After you turn on the A/C, rpm becomes unstable. What to do anyway?

Quick tip that might help. Under the glove box is the blower fan, check the plugs that run to it make sure they have a good connection. then give the blower fan a little tap, mine was just stuck. could have been from dust or something. Or a plug might have been loose.

I have ford mustang 1999 when i start my car and

there will be a cooling fan in front of the condenser ( ac unit in front of the radiator) that should be running as soon as you turn the ac on. If that is not working then the head pressures for the compressor become excessive and to save the compressor from damage it is shut of at the clutch at the pulley. When you are moving there is air flow through the condenser and so the head pressures are maintained at the correct level. Have it checked out by an accredited auto ac specialist . If you have a viscous fan hub on the engine fan the consider replacing it as it is not pulling air through the radiator when idling

1992 corona engine light, battery light and taillight lights on dash stay on while driving, anyone know why?

The battery light would mean the alternator is not charging the battery, the engine light is either a check engine light for the computer or low oil pressure (red) and the tail lamp warning is for a bulb not working.

Air conditioner will not turn on but defrost comes on with hot air and can not be turned off.

Sounds like your blend door may be stuck or you could have a vacuum leak. If you're not comfortable working on it, take it to a reputable shop.

I have a 1992 svx and my air conditioner does not get cold enough to be comfortable it might need refrigerant how would i go about doing that myself and what type of refrigerant

hi the refridgerant changed in certain models but all the details should be written in the engine bay somewhere like the amount needed and the type, but you will also need the right gauges for the gas and scales to measure the amount your putting in

03 H2; air conditioner makes a clicking sound when on AIR and you accelerate. Does not do it when air is off. Also, back tail light keeps going out even when you replace bulb. Thanks

Clicking sound you hear is the belt tensioner, due to a malfunctionig a/c compressor ,

the reed valves of the compressor are broken causing unstable pressure that makes the belt tensioner vibrate

1992 corvette - cooling fans do not actuate at temperature.

Do the fans come on when you turn on the air conditioner. I do believe the temp switch for the fan is on the passenger side of the engine above the starter.
