Hi I have a problem with my Corona 1992 (ST171, 2000 cc). When I turn on Air conditioner and it works for a while and turn it off, engine becomes unstable; namely its rpm falls and if I don't help the engine by pushing accelerator engine stops. Can you help me? Regards Babak
Check rpm whithout the ac if its the wright rpm.
ac uses also rpm .so when its whithout allreddy stalling ,it will for sure ,when you turn on ac.
But things go well when you are not using A/C. The problem appears when using A/C.
that what i mean,if the rpm is to low and ac kicks in,it will drop to low and engine stals
best to check in a garage your rpm and co.cause when you decrease the rpm ,the co will drop.when you increase the rpm the co will raise.very importet to do bolt same time .first you need to know the excact rpm for your car

I have a unit of this model, last time i also face to this problem.Maybe you can try to make the aircond delay system out of the main ECU control. this is the way i solved the problem.

sounds like the cabbruter is losing pressure cheak tubes may be lose or damaged

either you need a new tranny or your ecu is reading a code. Same thing happened to mine, i had my transmission replaced.

Quick tip that might help. Under the glove box is the blower fan, check the plugs that run to it make sure they have a good connection. then give the blower fan a little tap, mine was just stuck. could have been from dust or something. Or a plug might have been loose.

rpm is OK when there is no A/C in. After you turn on the A/C, rpm becomes unstable. What to do anyway?
