Toyota V6 will not start when hot

The engine will start under normal conditions, but if I drive a couple hours in the heat, it will not start when having taken a brief pitt stop. If left for 10-15 min., it starts.

SOURCE: toyota vits 2005 shaking engine

Very possibly you have a bad motor mount. Is the engine missing or running smooth but shaky? If it is missing, then it may be plugs, wires, or injectors, if runs fine but shaky, then you may have a bad motor mount.

SOURCE: Both radiator fans on my 2002 Toyota Solara V6 run constantly

Check to see if the radiator fan relay has gone bad and needs to be replaced. Once you located the relay, (in the fuse box under the hood) Try swapping it out with another relay and see if the fans stop, if the fans stop working with the swapped relay, replace the relay. It's know for the relays when they go bad to stick and will have a close loop. Good luck and hope this helps. Keep me posted, be glad to help you get your car running 100% again soon.

Kia sportage 2008 v6,I've a problem with AC,In hot weather after 30 mins drive loose conditioned air and hot air start blowing although after switching engine off for may be 20 mins; AC start working

Bad blend door actuator is your cause. You need to disconnect the actuator from the blend door and manually check the blend door. One side of the door switches the heat and one draws air from the ac evaporator.

3.0 D4D overheating

Check between the Air con condensor & radiator for grass etc... (restriction of air flow) if no restriction remove the thermostat & replace. If there is grass do not try to remove with water you will need to remove the radiator & pick it out bit by bit or use soft brush (dustpan brush) & compressed air or soft (not to hot) flame & burn to ash then blow with air. ALWAYS Blow from engine side & remove from other side so you don't force it further in. (This can take hours but is quite a common problem)

Toyota Corolla Ticking noise in engine after driving

all metals including aluminum tend to stretch when heated , and extract to their original state when cold , during that condition or while cooling down ? the bolts , nuts and other engine parts does that , it is totally normal , as long you use correct type of fuel , oil and cooling agents .
you have 5 type of filters in every modern vehicle of chamber combustion engine type ,
air filer , oil filter , transmission oil filter , fuel filter and heater and cooler unit filter ( it looks like a small radiator ) usually under the dashboard P,S side , that filer should be cleaned 1s a year at last

Hours to replace toyota camry time belt

What engine?

the 2.4 has a timing chain and the chain should not need to be serviced under normal driving conditions.

The V-6 has a timing belt. Book time is roughly 3 hours. Add another 1/2 hour if you want to replace the water pump at the same time.

Fan doesn't run while in idle and begins to over heat until I start driving agin then it cools back down to normal. Also the fan runs when engine is off and drains the battery.

The fan is only supposed to come on when there is excess heat .. in normal driving conditions it doesn't start. When you start your car in the morning the fan won't come on because the engine is cold.

With a hot engine - and it depends how hot the engine is - the fan will only kick in to prevent overheating. In heavy slow moving traffic or a traffic jam, the fan will kick in if needed.

The air flow through the radiator is usually sufficient -in normal driving conditions - to cool the engine.

When you park up and the car has a hot engine, the fan will kick in. This is perfectly normal. It is caused by a surge of hot coolant triggering the fan sensor. Perfectly normal.

The fan then should cut out after a while .. maybe 2-3 minutes at the most. If the fan runs continuously that suggests a fault in the temperature sensor switch.

Next time - wait by the car and see how long it takes for the fan to quit after you have parked up. It should stop of its own accord after a couple of minutes.

If the fan cuts off after a short while, and your battery is becoming drained, that's probably a battery or alternator fault.

Remember: when you start the car the fan won't kick in at idle speed because the engine is COLD, and there is no reason for the fan to start up ..
The fan WILL kick in for a couple of minutes after you have parked the vehicle and the engine is hot
