Why does the Central locking on rear doors not work when child lock operated so unable to open rear doors from outside
As child lock electronically disables rear doors central locking will not work
SOURCE: keyfob lights up but central locking doesnt work
try looking in the door and see if the bar to central door lock mechanism hasnt come off where the little plastic clip has broke that retains it

It has nothing to do with the "child lock" It is a know problem in this car, they tend to get caught in lock. Only thing to do, is to take of the panel then the outside handle, and through that hole destroy the plastic covering the lock, a large screwdriver and hammer will do! Then you can release the lock, while you pull the inside release handle. Buy new!

kind of hard but it can be done but what probly happen is that the child lock is hafe and hafe not ingaged or disangeged so it's stuck

get a bit of wire and turn lock from inside panel - lubrication washes away and has to be renewed- Annoying problem Renault!! My MOT is due soon and it will fail cos of this if I don't fix it.
