Solution for ''In my 1998 Hyundai accent the ac and heater only comes out of the defroster vents PLEASE HELP

When in the Defrost mode, the A/C will come on if needed to remove any moisture in the air; that shouldn't happen in other heater vent settings. If it comes on in other vent settings, make sure the A/C button is not in.

the heater vacuum motor and lines needs to be checked.Also get the blend door checked.

the a ccuatior door is not closing check the vacumline or the heater and ac control

Get a schematic and trace out the power source to those devices not working.

you probably have a vacuum leak from the engine or vacuum storage canister to the heater/a/c control head. Defrost is default mode required by law when system fails.

it could be the heater core, but before you check that check the thermostate that could be the problem for the over heating

If you have the heater directed to the windshield, the AC will turn on. Move the control away from defrost.
