How do i replace the cooling fan assembly in a 2005 hyundai santa fe?
Made a video showing how to replace the radiator but in the process I show how to remove and install the cooling fan in the process.
More than likely, just the fan motor needs replaced which will require you disassemble the cooling fan unit, not a real tough job. The unit is held in either by 4 bolts or 2 bolts toward the top and lifts out of 2 tab holder at the bottom. You didn't specify what engine, so I cannot be more specific than that. Motors for the fan are around $80 - $85 at the local parts store. Take about an hour or so, depending on how agreeable the assembly is to dismantle and put back together. You may have to remove the top radiator hose and / or a plastic top shield to remove the unit, and disconnect a wiring harness.

This is from the factory service manual of your car:
There is no onboard programming procedure for this vehicle. This vehicle requires special equipment be connected to the vehicle to program the keyless remote. Translation you need the dealer to do this.

you have to remove the AC panel from the back side... the virtical console pops out and you can disconnect it (wire harness connectors) to get to it.

You should find another dealer. Hyundai recommends replacing the belt every 60,000 miles and this dealer knows this. No reason at all to replace it at 42,093 miles. Remember that this is an interference engine so if the belt breaks serious engine damage will occur. Do not neglect this service at 60,000 miles.
