SOURCE: The remote will not open the trunk or the doors and I can't open the trunk with the trunk release in the car.

Make sure you have good batteries in your key fob. Also, there is a trunk, lock, and unlock relay. If anyone of those are bad you can have this problem.

Trunk release clicks, but won't release
Something broke on the lock mechanism. In order to open the trunk, you will have to remove the rear seats and try to access the trunk area. Once you are in the trunk, you should be able to manually open the lock and investigate what broke.
