typically the 97 to 02 will interchange, but only the main parts. the difference in model such as the packages like xlt/eddie bower will be the difference.

Remove the air filter and box. After removal your arm should be able to reach there. It's so compact with little room. Take the intake hose loose (screw driver Phillips)There are 3-4 bolts holding the filter box in, take these out and the box will lift out. It can be done without doing all this, but your arms will be scratched and in a bind. I change mine without doing all of this. disconnect the plug at bulb, There's a screw collar holding the bulb in, un-screw it, and bulb will come out. Don't get your hand oils on the bulb,, it causes it to heat uo and bust.
