What are the torque specs for the front brake rotors?
Along with many of the others the bolts holding the brake caliper slides in place are stretch bolts. You torque them up as pe the first post and then its a twist of so many degrees. This stretches the bolt past its elastic limit. Once used just like an engine head bolt the bolt is scrap. I'm told its to keep the wieght down on the front. My personal feel is that its a dangeous practice because you know loads of Volvos will have had the bolts used for a second and third time.

The ball joint lock nut spec is 37 ft.lbs (50N.m), the control arm to sub-frame bolt spec is 48ft.lbs (65N.m.) Hope this helps!

This sounds to me like classic air in the lines. It is also possible that you are low on brake fluid, but having just bled the brakes this seems unlikely. I think what needs to be done is a re-bleed, ensuring the brake fluid level does not get too low in the process, and then you need to ensure that the bleed nipples and the brake lines are sealed properly. Good luck!
