No power to trunk release switch 2001 lincoln ls and i checked all fuses but i cant find wiring diagram for it and the fuel door switch works fine

try the brake light switch on top of the brake pedal and try www.autozone.com to see if they have your car listed for diagrams pictures and step by step instructions if your car is not listed then try your local library they have all the car manuals and even copy them for you

You could try setting release to work manually. I have had the same problem. Take tne motor off set the catch clip at the right height. This should work with no cost.

you can try feeding the switch direct but you will need to find out which wire carries the power to the switch,this can be accomplished using a test light or small meter. when you find which wire carries the power to the switch then you by-pass the switch and put the power to the other side of the switch manually instead of using the switch and the door lock will undue ut self. then you can change the door lock actuator.

You have fuses and relays-
Under the hood.pass side,front,next to washer bottle and ABS motor
On the right side kick panel,under glove box. Have to remove cover
In trunk,lift cover,left of battery.
