If you have battery voltage at AC clutch and a good ground then you have a defective AC clutch/coil assembly

SOURCE: ac won't get cold anymore

Has the Freon been checked with a gauge to see if there is enough Freon to allow the system to work. Low or no Freon will not allow the compressor to engage. The low pressure switch is most likely activated due to low freon, and will cause this condition.

SOURCE: I have a 2006 saturn

Bulletin No.: 03-01-39-011B
Date: November 22, 2005
TECHNICAL
Subject:
Water Leaks Into Passenger Compartment Through HVAC Module Condensate Drain Tube When Parked on Incline/Uphill Position (Install Auxiliary Drain Tube Extension)
Models:
2003-2006 Saturn ION Sedans and Coupes
Supercede:
This bulletin is being revised to include the 2005 and 2006 model years. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 03-01-39-011A (Section 01 - HVAC).
Condition
When vehicle is parked on an incline with the front end up during a rainstorm or when driving uphill during a rainstorm, water may leak into the passenger compartment through the condensate drain tube opening of the HVAC module.
Cause
Water may drain out of the cowl drain, then drain down the front of the dash panel in the engine compartment and seep into the HVAC module condensate drain tube opening. The water then collects in the heater core cover and upon acceleration may leak into the passenger compartment through the heater core cover seams.
Correction 1. Open the hood and locate the HVAC module condensate drain tube in the engine compartment on the right side of the dash panel.
Important: During installation of the auxiliary drain tube, do not make contact with the HVAC module foam gasket located at the base of the HVAC module condensate drain tube. If the auxiliary drain tube is pushed on too far and makes contact with the foam gasket, water may leak into the passenger compartment.
2. Slide the auxiliary drain tube onto the HVAC module condensate drain tube and make sure that the auxiliary drain tube is angled downwards after installation.cansmo_121.gifcansmo_122.gif

2003 Ford Windstar AC is not working. It only blows out hot air. The blend door act. works properly(We have already tested it). There are properly freon in the Vehicle. We are at a lost. Please help

Can you tell if compressor clutch is engaged? If clutch isn't engaged only the belt pulley will be moving and the compressor clutch is not engaged. If not engaged, no ac.

Can you check for applicable hvac codes? To check codes, your-self, at the least, you need an obd2 code reader, that will check manufacturer specific codes as well as po.

I haven't looked at your wiring, you could probably check voltage and ground for compressor, hvac on.6158ef87-8677-4b29-952a-e287698970b5.jpg
In the diagram, you see applicable fuses--clutch relay-- the top wire at ac clutch is voltage--black wire is ground.

97 chevy suburban AC clutch won't engage pressures

Looks like the low pressure switch gets power from a 10amp ac fuse. Power then goes to the ac relay which is powered on by the ac heat controller on the dash. Power then goes thru the high pressure switch to the compressor. The ac relay is grounded to the body. Do you have power on the lite and dark green wires going into the relay and is it grounded ?

I need to replace air conditioner compressor w/clutch for my 2006 saturn ion 2 sedan automatic 4 cyl-I've found new ac compressor w/clutch at different auto part shops ranging from $175-$500 and w

is it full of freon? if so it could be that you just need to change the magnetic clutch which is a lot simpler job and cheaper too. get a book first so you have referance pull the belt off pull the nut in the center of the ac compressor make shure that you know what the clearance is betwean the clutch and the compressor it has shims and is imperative that the clearance is right you will need measurment tools feeler gages work best but befor you do any of this you need to make sure there is power and ground going to the two wire conector going to the clutch it wont get power till you turn the ac on or the computer tells it to run for the interior eco system so a magnetic cluch will not turn on if there is no signal resulting in the compressor not terning making the ac not work but its fairly simple to do and 900 is a dicent price at a shop but they would probably charge you for the whole compressor and charging the system and it was only a cluch if there is freon and the compressor isnt siezed and theres signal and ground change the clutch

2003 saturn L300 3.0 Ltr AC clutch will not engage

From what I understand from the dealer, the L series has an issue with a/c compressors. My 2001 LW300 had the same problem. Usually the clutch coil is bad. If you take the 2 wire plug off your compressor and put power to one pin and ground to the other the clutch should lock. If not, replace the clutch. You can buy an aftermarket clutch for about $130. Hopefully your compressor is easier to get at than mine. Good Luck.
