I have a 1999 Suzuki grand virtara and the taillights stop working sometimes also no dash lights they have never worked since I brought it last year. Checked fuses I'm at a loss the taillights work one day...

Could be light switch stalk is worn and not switching relay. Suggest checking voltage coming to tail light relay and voltage coming to light switch stalk. Fuse may have a hair line crack in it that may cause intermittent failure . google 12v dv probe . Might be the relay is faulty this will be most likely in a relay compartment inside the engine bay . Checking the voltages with a 12v dc probe or voltmeter at the relay unit for the tail light will confirm if it is the relay or the light switch that is faulty.

What is behind the fuse box

You really need a good wiring diagram. Those cars are basically a toyota corolla on the inside with a good amount of mods to the electrical system. Grab a manual from an auto parts store or go to a local tech school that has an auto repair program and make copies. This will save you loads of time troubleshooting the problem. 25322389-21syibu3fgwpdxocjnkpw0ib-3-0.jpg

I have a 94 ford probe, The radio works when it wants to.. but the prblem is the tail lights and dash lights went out about a week ago, Checked all fuses in car and under hood checked all light bulbs all...

You need to replace headlight switch - if fuses, bulbs, wiring looks good. Avoid the toggle switch idea, you'll be opening a whole new can of worms.

My tail running lights dont work and i checked the fuses how do i fix it

you say you checked the fuse so I ASSUME its good? and getting power? there is a Tail Light Relay. If the relay is good, then that fuse (tail light) will have power. If it does not, then check the relay, maybe rap on it. The relay is round up under the dash, left kick panel area. just below where the tail light fuse is.

Inside dash lights and tail lights won't turn on in my '95 Isuzu Rodeo, what can I do?

My 97 Rodeo had the same problem. No Tail lights, no. Dash lights. There is also an annoying buzzer that goes with the set telling you the lights are on, there is no key in the ignition and your door is open. (you don't notice it when it's gone but you sure notice it when it's back)
The Fuse (taillight Illum) was good, The Light relay under the hood was good and all bulbs were good.
What fixed this problem was replacing the tail light relay which is located in a panel just to the left of the brake pedal also called the kick panel.Inside there are 3 relays. I replaced the one in the middle and got everything to work.
If you need to identify the relay you can put your hand over it and then turn the lights on and off. The correct relay should click. Mine was the middle one.
Hope this helps someone because it stumped me for months.

1996 Dodge ram 2500. Both dashboard lights and headlights went out at the same time. All other electrics work. All fuses seem to be good. What would cause this and how do I fix it?

Both the dash lights and headlamps, including the tail lights are fed through a fuse link under the bonnet, then the tail, dash lights are run through fuses as are the headlamps. Firstly, check the fuses electrically not visually. Use a test probe (available from your local auto parts shop, not expensive) and clip one end to a good ground on the vehicle chassis and use the pointy end to check both ends of each fuse, the test lamp should light up on BOTH ends. If it lights up on one end only, then that fuse has failed and should be replaced. If it does not light up at either end of the fuse, that circuit is without power so turn on the ignition and lights but DO NOT start the motor. Then check the fuses again. If all looks good, locate the light relays which could be under the hood in their own enclosure or plugged in under the dash and check each one for inputs and outputs. If the relay pins are numbered, you should have power to pins 85 OR 86 but not both and 30. Pins 85 and 86 are the coil connections and a power supply and ground connection to these pins should turn the relay on (you should hear a click) pin 30 is the main load supply and pin 87 is the output supply. This means that pin 87 should be active whenever the relay is turned on. power missing from pin 30, check fuses and fuse links. Power at pin 30 but not at pin 87 when the relay is on, replace the relay. Essentially, the light switch turns on the relay and the relay switches the power to the lights, one relay for dash and tail and two relays for the headlamps (high and low beam). You may find that the vehicle has two headlamp relays for each side headlamps, a high and low beam for the right side lights and the same for the left. If you have no power to one of the switching connections (85 and 86) then again check fuses and check the light switch itself.

I have a 2002 explorer tail lights and dash lights not working anyone know which fuse it is or number fuse it is?

This is clearly labelled either as accessories or tail lights
or dashboard lights. But the best way is to use a multi-tester. Set if at 1 x 10 ohms. Take the fuse one at a time, and test each by putting one test probe to the end
of the fuse, and the other test probe to the other end.
this must read zero for good fuse, and no reading for bad
fuse.

Dash lights and taillights out fuses all ok

In battery junction box or the under hood fuse panel check fuse no 11(15amp),it will be at the center of the fuse box where there is 4 fuse slots but looks like only 3 fuses, if this fuse in good then you will see a relay that is shaped kinda like a cross. This is the parklamp relay which also powers the dash lights.
