Why won't my 97 jetta gl feels like it won't fire, i changed the distributor rotor and cap and also changed the spark plugs. is there a fuse that blow out and cause this.

I'm trying to find out why my car is not firing when trying to start. and is a fuse that can be checked, and where it's located on vehicle.

Y is my 97 chevy only fires on the number one cylender

if you have fire on the number one cylinder,it means that the ignition coil is working so your problem can come from spark plug wire or cap and rotor . unplug the wire from ignition coil to distributor and check for fire you are suppose to have fire because you saying having fire on cylinder one. from there change cap of distributor and rotor plus a set a spark plug wire.

Ignition mystery! 1994 GMC Suburban 2500 5.7 mtr. No spark to spark plugs. Have spark from coil to distributor. Have changed coil wire, cap, rotor, ignition module, and coil. have 12.5 volts going to...

I guess you could have the ignition analyzed on an oscilloscope. Maybe a tech could see something then.
I always heard the only gap was the spark plug gap-the rotor has no gap-are you sure you got the correct rotor? And does it touch the top distributor cap coil wire tower?

Let us know. It is a mystery worthy of a solution.

if its got no fire and you changed your cam and crank sensor try replacing the ignition Coil then if it doesn't work replace the distributor cap and spark plugs and wires if that doesn't work then take the distributor cap off and replace the distributor Rotor if it still doesn't work replace the wires to the rotor if still i dosent work check your fuses but i assure you that should fix it.

if you have juice from the coil and not out to plugs, trying replacing the rotor and cap.
worked for me on my 81 wagon turned out they have more than 1 distributor and the wrong rotor and or cap can keep you from firing, they even looked good but didn't work.

Best checking your firing order, could have 2 crossed. Make sure the vacuum line is connected to the distributor advance too. That could cause hesitation.
