I THINK THAT THE IDLE PROBLEM OF MY 4.2 6 CYL SIERRA IS THE MAF MASSIVE AIR FLOW THAT IS DIRTY. CAN SOME ONE EXPLAIN TO ME WERE TO FIND IT AND HOW TO CLEAN IT? THANK YOU
Your mass airflow sensor should be right behind the air filter box. It should be in the hose between the airbox and the intake manifold. When you find it, just take the clamps loose and disconnect the wire connector to the sensor. Take the sensor out and clean it with a can of electrical cleaner or brake cleaner. Put it all back in and see what it does. It's also possible that it is a bad sensor. Clean it first and see what that does.
SOURCE: mass air sensor and intake air temperature sensor
They are not the same thing but the air temp sensor is made into the mass air sensor

I know that this will sound Stupid. Change the Fuel Cap. If the Seal on the Gas Cap is Bad it will allow Air to get into the Fuel tank and cause your Rough Idle.

give it a complete tune up and change the fuel filter if that does fix it then check for a vapor lock and bad fuel pressure regulator
SOURCE: p0305 code idle at about 500 rpms feel like it
Don't get involved with injectors
If they tick, they most likely work
You have a Fault Codes for cylinder #5
misfire,work on that
You don't have a lean O2 Code, so stay
with ignition
