You need a professional to find out where the circuit for the fuse is shorted. Sorry there is no quick fix for electrical problems like short circuits

You need the help of a local repair shop

Take it to a different one & leave it there,
until ALL issues are resolved

Would appear your too trusting & never had the shop
prove anything was resolved, before paying & leaving
with the vehicle

You have to start taking control of the situations, when
dealing with any merchant

No one can guess at vehicle problems
without a car to check out & test

2003 Ford Ranger 2.3, started fine, cut off suddenly, wont start back up?

Could be several things. Battery connection, starter solenoid, starter, neutral safety switch, ignition switch. First have someone hit the starter while the key is in the start position. If no start, check to see if voltage is at the starter solenoid. Try moving the gear indicator back and forth from P to D with the key in crank position. Make sure the park brake is set. Make sure the battery cables are clean and tight. There should be several feed wires coming off the positive post. Make sure all are ok. Some are fusible links and may have burnt.

No Tail lights. Or brake lights(when the headlights are on). HELP!!!

I think you have a bad ground at the back on both rear lights or their earth out on the same connection but these american cars use a funny system where the stop lights are the indicators and not a seperate yellow light like europeon motors ,Now these brake light switches also allow the indicators to work by shutting off the feed to the stop light so it flashes with indicators ,Why american cars use this system i dont know as its so complicated for the stop light switch function but try the ground or earth wire on the back lights and if no joy then ask a american mechanic with experiance of this sort of circuitry as when i get american cars for import i have to fit new back lights and disconnect the brake light switch .

Brake lights dont work, replaced switch, checked for power, power to switch, power to fuse, checked wiring to back end, all appears to be good, put power to white wire, no brake lights still, i need some...

You hit it on the nail, you have check every thing we would have checked here at my repair shop, it's going to be the turn signal switch, as you now the brake light circuit run's through it and more then likely your center top brake light works.Bad switch (turn signal).

Cruisecontroldoesn'twork

check for a fuse,i believe its by the drivers side door in the dash, then check if there is vacumm going to the cruise control, check to make sure the brake light isnt staying on,check to see if the linkage is still hooked up,and try wiggling the on\off switch back and forth(slide switch)..it could be a bad switch which the turn signal switch is on the same setup,or the cruise unit under the hood.

No Brake Lights, unable to switch from park to drive

It is not the multifunction switch. The power feed goes thru the brake switch before the multi function. You have no power the the brake switch because your shift interlock is not allowing you to shift it. I'll look up the wiring diagram and repost with a solution.
