SOURCE: 87 CHEVY BLAZER, FUEL PUMP NOT GETTING POWER

It's your Electronic Control Module (ECM). There is a short in the computer. You're going to have to replace it. The same symptoms occurred in my vehicle, had a mobile mechanic come to my house and fix the problem. Quoted me $350 for parts (used) and labor.

SOURCE: no power tp the fuel pump, injectors not pulsing, no fuel.

Check out your oil sending unit, fuel pump and relay, check for power (might be a fuse), the ignition control module (which if you remove it, can be tested for free at AUTO-ZONE), any related wiring, pick-up coil (inside the distributor), and possibly the ignition switch. If I can be any more help just as away.

SOURCE: surging power lose

a maf sensor will cause this also, you can go to any auto parts store and buy the maf sensor spray. follow directions on can. make sure air filter is clean also. my car did the same thing and after I cleaned the maf sensor it has been fine. 3.1 engine, to check sensor, just unplug it and try it on hills or highway. the car will not run very good and may stall out, but if the car does not surge, the maf is the problem.

No power going up hill

try the fuel filter first - fuel pumps usually either run or they don't - no intermittent sputtering - also if there is debris in the fuel tank, it will clog the fuel strainer and block the fuel supply when going uphill - so if you do change the fuel pump, clean out the tank

1995 Ford F-250 diesel idles fine, loses power when driving more than 5 minutes. Blinking fuel filter light goes steady.

Did you ever change the fuel pump? most of the time when fuel pump is weak does that on hills, and then is hard to restart

I have caprice 92 model with 305 5.0 engine, the fuel injectors injects the fuel for less than a second then stops. therefore the engine does not start. i checked the fuel pump and the filter and they seem...

try oil pressure switch the computer provides the power to pump for just a second on start up then the oil pressure switch takes over to supply power the the pump the reason for this is in case you are in an accident the engine dies loses oil presure then kills power to full pump so the fuel pump doesnt continue to have power with the key in the on position

Car died and wont start

The fuel injector motor or called the Idle Air control module is not the failure. The fuel pump is overheating and dies out. Thus when letting sit a while the engine is starting up again.
I woult take vehicle to local shop and have them replace the fuel pump , I suggest not getting taken for a complete tune up. Just the fuel pump is the most cost effective way .
