Dee if the linkage is binding first, clean the throttle body and lubricate all moving parts if this doesn't solve it an accellerator cable may need replacing

Try changing the temperature sending unit. This regulates the cold start mode and it appears it's still in cold start mode and still feeding it too much fuel, causing a flooding condition and making it die at stops. When you depress throttle to go, it's still getting too much fuel and wants to bog and die on take-off.
Check for loose vaccum hoses. If everything looks in place, I would suggest you collect as much information as possible: Engine light on? what is the troublecode?
It sounds like the idle compensation circuit for the engine is dirty or faulty. Have your car checked at a shop. have them check the idle air motor for dirt or malfunction. It could be that it only needs to be cleaned or replaced.
The compensation circuit adjusts the idle/slow speed of the engine. The air conditioner puts a load on the engine and this circuit adjusts the engine speed to compensate. Also, when the car is cold this circuit adjusts the idle speed to prevent stalling and help the engine warm up faster. I hope this information helps you.
throttle position sensor replace it. also in rare cases the map sensor will be bad . go to a junk yard and get your replacements it wont cost near as mutch. compared to the retail stores
sounds like the ISC ( idle speed control ) motor is being told by the computer to extend or else its possibly binding. Located on the drivers side of the throttle body . Also check for binding aceelerator linkage. One other thing that might sound strange is check the floor mat by the gas pedal. Sometimes gets jammed.
