I have a 1995 3.4L Camaro and live in area where emissions is required. Head gasket blew out and I decided to rebuild the top end of the engine. It Passed Emissions Prior to rebuilding it. Now the engine runs rich. Fans do not come on when vehicle is at running temp. This became a problem before i rebuilt the engine, and I'm pretty sure it was the cause for blowing my head gasket. Fans Work, relay works properly, wiring looks good, both temp sending units have been replaced. My OBD 2 system reads error when i try to scan it. Im unsure about anything beyond what I've already done. Any ideas?

Sounds like they want to cover all bases. When the truck is first started you should hear the pump run. If it does you don't need the pump. While the engine is running remove the hose from the check vavle, exhaust should not be coming out of the tube, if it does the check valve is bad. There is also a vacuum hose going to the check valve , make sure it is hooked up. It's not to hard to diagnose this code. Pumps are approx. $150.00 Check valves around $80.00
SOURCE: rebuild the 305 or go with a 350 engine and the same with trans.
are you going for extra horse or just to have a bigger block. you can do a lot with a small block to give power. change that cam and intake and add a nice 4barrel and some headers and a thrush exhaust and if money is not a problem some new heads . power is in the heds. you can go on line and find vedeos that will show you how to port and polish your heads and you get bigger valves both intake and exhaust been there don this and you can make a bad *** motor

Try first to fill up the radiator while squeezing the top part of the radiator hose to clear out the air. Observe once that is done. this may be caused by a radiator cap that is not sealing the pressure correctly or some parts the cooling system that may let heat escape like radiator hoses that are not secure. If they all seemed to check out, you may want to have your head gasket checked.

Maybe your radiator is clogged flush it out.

Which one of the coolant sensors have you been replacing or have you replaced both of them?
Just so you know there are two of them, one is for the cooling fans and one is for the guage on the cluster.
Report back with which one you replaced so we can further assist you.
