The fuel filter could be clogged, preventing adequate pressure in fuel system. If not a blockage or fuel pump malfunction, then I would suspect fuse and or relay.

SOURCE: fuel pump relay location

Hi irvj6ohn:
The 1993 and 1994 XJ6 Fuel Pump Relay is located in the trunk of the vehicle on the right hand rear side. It is light blue and black in color.
I hope this helps.

SOURCE: where is the fuel filter on a 1993 xjs 4.0 cabrio?

think its underneath by the fuel tank ,but you shouldnt need to change it i have a 94 XJ6 4lt and i have never had to touch anything ,just changed the oil and filter ,evan the plugs havent needed changing in 2 yrs ,but you must polish it every week and clean the leather once a month with that stuff that keeps it supple .and dont forget to polish the chrome exhaust cover on the exhaust manifold

SOURCE: 2000 Jaguar S-type 4.0 sport no fuel pressure

this is the fuel pump itself that has failed, replace it. It is located inside the fuel tank and is sold as a module assembly about $675
BOSCH Part # 67935 {Fuel Pump Assembly}
or as just a pump which you splice into the old sender assembly fuel pump module for around $120
AIRTEX Part # E2314 {In Tank Electric Fuel Pump}
Strainer included with pump.

1996 xj6 jaguar wont start batt is new the motor turns but wont start

Need to check for fuel and spark
You can crack the fuel line connector at the back of the rail on the drivers side to see if you are getting fuel or have someone listen in the trunk for a humming/buzzing sound when you first turn the ignition on, if you do hear this then the fuel pump is probably working so it would be the crank sensor that has failed. If you have 1/4 or less of a tank of gas, check to make sure you actually have gas as these cars have faulty fuel sendor units which will stick on a 1/4 of a tank.

Why won't my 1993 Grand Cherokee 4.0L syart, all it does is turn over, it's getting fire to the coil but won't fire up?

I would check for fuel at the test fitting on the fuel rail. You can try spraying some starting fluid into the throttle body and see if you get any fire, if so, the fuel pump, relay, or fuse is bad.
