SOURCE: how to fix check engine from showing po422 code

The PO442 code is for a "small" leak in the EVAP system. A good starting point is to make sure your gas cap is on tight. When you install it always turn it till you hear and feel the cap click. You should also look at the top of filler neck where the cap tightens down to if its rusted or cracked this will set the code. Check the sealing rig on the gas cap also make sure its not cracked or split. If nothing is obvious there you will want to look at the vacuum lines around the gas tank you will be looking for loose lines or cracks in them. Good luck these leaks are sometimes hard to fine with all the spacial equipment they tell us it takes.

Po422 trouble code for 2001 dodge ram

There is a leak some where , check the lines where they have rubber on them check for cracks, the dodge is known for broken rubber boots on the end off plastic lines going to purge valve, the other problem is the top of the tank, the ring that holds pump unit in tank may have a leak.

The best way is to smoke test the system for leaks. and last is the filler neck rusts out and may have small hole

Hello i have a GTI its a 2.0L manual transmission, i have been having problem after problem thus far. Current engine codes PO422, PO300,PO304,PO303,PO302. I do not have a code list to see what these are...

I think that PO422 is the Cat Converter, it may be bad or may be just the O2 sensor.
The PO300, 302, 303, 304 code have to do with the ignition coils or wires. (302, 303, 304 means there are ignition /firing problems in cylinders 2, 3and 4). If your lucky just the wire and new spark plugs.
Google "engine codes Jetta" for more on web. Good luck.

Code po116 , tempture guage stays on cold, both fans are runing put 2 thermostes new. possible codes po520 po340

it peobably needs a new coolant temp. sensor thats what the po116 stands for. or it could be loose connector or wire short, but a bad sensor would be a good guess

2004 chev. silverado 6.0 liter. The engine code po300 and po322 came up. I reset the codes and po 322 came up again. I just changed the plugs approx. 400 mile ago. Could the codes come from a bad plug or...

Yes they could a PO300 is a generic misfire code. PO301 would be cylinder number 1 so on and so forth. check the resistance of your plug wires they should be approx. 7000 ohms per foot. it could also be a coil over plug. primary resistance of the cops should be 1-3 ohms. but since this is a misfire it would be your secondary. which should be between 20000-30000 ohms. hope I helped you out. Happy Motoring!
