Blow head asket on "N@ reg legacy

use $33 head gasket repair from Bar's Leaks. It worked for my car's seepage of antifreeze into the cylinder. It might help you for a reasonable cost.

Just pour it in and let it work for 15 minutes and hopefully your car's coolant system will be fine.

Otherwise, it may cost hundreds of dollars if not over $1000.

Good luck to you on this.

I have a renault clio 52 reg, the engine coolant keeps goin down

i have a clio, had same problem too. its the head gasket. when this breaks or cracks it allows water into parts of the engine it should not, and therefore the water starts to mix with the oil forming this 'light brown gunge' the problem is that when driving with a damaged head gasket you will damage the head of the engine too which is why this is reoccuring. your best bet is to take apart the engine, clean it out, buy a new head gasket and then get the head of your engine skimmed. this could solve the problem depending on how damaged your head is.

Oil leak and orange oil light stays on briefly after starting up, also slight water leak. i suspected head gasket at first but eliminated that after the combination of these two faults causing fluid loss....

why eliminate head gasket? head gasket failure can cause loss of both fluids. i suspect the oil light is lost oil pressure because the head gasket is toast or the head is now warpped and thus leaking. you should be able to see signs of leakage around the head.

do you see any oil getting into your rad? if not then the oil must be leaking around the head.

Renault megane scenic 1.9 dt r reg 1997 cold start problems

This being a diesel, lack of compression is your worst enemy. These symptoms sound like a blown head gasket. Check your coolant for signs of oil, and check your oil for signs of coolant. (oil will be milky looking) Also indicative of a head gasket problem is an oil or coolant leak from the engine as well. If you see no evidence of the above, have a compression test done, and it should show up.
