SOURCE: location of transmission fluid indicator dipstick
Couldn't find mine either. It's not in the owners manual. Actually, I found out that it does not have one. According to VW Vortex, they check the fluid at the dealership by computer.

There is no dipstick. You have to have special tools to check / refill the tranny.
SOURCE: transmission oil level
If it is an automatic, I'm sure you can see the yellow dip stick under the hood, if its a manual.........you will have to jack the car up, and you will see two bolts on the side of the transmission, some have bolts, some have square holes, and some have allen key bolts, non the less, you will see two of them, one on the side about half way up, and one on the bottom for draining. The purpose of this is that when you take the one off of the side, if no fluid comes out, you can add some until it starts to dribble out, the hole is the full mark for lack of better terms. Hope that helps. If you have the square holes, a socket extension for a ratchet fits great....
