SOURCE: The battery died, can't open door with key
Hi there,
If you can get under the car you can attach a jump starter lead to the starter motor, If you can get to it underneath,
as in Positive lead to the positive lead on the starter and just attach the negative to the engine somewhere and try using your remote.
Remember that usually on most cars the lead to the starter comes directly from the battery and goes to a solenoid on the actual starter so you wont be able to start it this way but at least it should put some srt of charge into the system so you can get into the car and open the bonnet
Or if this doesnt work try tapping into a wire that you know is allways connected to positive that you might be able to get to.
As in maybe a curtesy light in the tray that you might be able to turn on from outside the car without having the ignition turned on.
otherwise you would
a) go to the dealer and ask mroe options
b) get a locksmith to pick the door to open it
c) last resort, break the cheapest window to get inside Check first as sometimes the smallest is the most expensive.
and i know it sounds stupid to break a window but sometimes it works out cheaper to do that and get it repaired/replaced then calluing a locksmith or tilt traying your car to a mechanic.
Hope this helps
Cheers
Steve
