SOURCE: How do you replace a fuel injector on a 3.4 V6 in a chevy venture

You will need to remove the fuel rail, pull the injector out and put new one in. Only thing you need to remember is that you have to pay attention to "o" ring seal, making sure you remove the old one and not damage the new one. There are specific instructions for removal in any inexpensive manual.

I have a 1999 Chevy Venture van I ran out of gas and now it won't start I don't hear the fuel pump running so I was wondering is there a emergency shutoff switch to the pump

There is no shut-off switch. Check the fuel pump fuse in the under hood fuse block. Also check for voltage on the fuse circuit, hot all the time. At the fuel pump connector, gray wire is voltage, solid black wire is ground. Have a helper crank it while you check for good voltage and ground at the connector.

Inertia switch for the fuel pump? Ford is the only manufacturers that uses this type of switch.
