I have a 1996 Cadillac Seville SLS and I want to remove the radio and a website said I would just have to pull the trim around the radio and heater out and it would expose screws that would allow me to take out the radio. I have tried this and the trim does not budge and I am not sure what to do.

Remove the heater and A/C control and radio bracket fasteners.

Partially remove the radio and A/C control assembly.

Disconnect the electrical connectors from the radio and A/C control assembly.

Remove the radio and A/C control assembly.

Remove the radio retaining nuts.

Remove the radio from the radio bracket.

Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Install the radio retaining nuts.
Tighten
Tighten the radio retaining nuts to 10 N·m (88 lb in).



Partially install the radio and A/C control assembly.
Connect the electrical connectors to the radio and A/C control assembly.
Install the radio and A/C control assembly.
Install the heater and A/C control and radio bracket fasteners.
Install the console trim plate. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
Install the instrument panel center trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
