Hello, I was driving my 2002 BMW 325i and at a stop light the back tail light come I check It and look like it had a short in the housing it just start to act weird, the lights on the dash came on emi, check engine, brake, the one in middle that's looks like a A with a circle round it.i disconnected the battery for about 10mins and they still come on, can you help
You will need a obd 2 scan tool to clear any codes stored in the system.

take battery back get a new one or have it tested. like auto zone or a parts store even wal-mart now. If this battery was just dead and needed charged. Then sounds like to me you have a bad alternater. you can rely know if you can get the battery charged up and get the car to start. and while the car is running pull the positive connection of the battery if car dies bad alternater .

The check engine light could be any number of things and the only way to find out is have the codes scanned. The brake light issue is common on E46 3 series. It is an issue were the brown ground wire that goes into the lamp housing melts at the connector causing a loose ground connection. The connector needs to be replaced and also add additional grounding wires to prevent further issues. And for fuel additives either use the cheveron techron, or the bmw fuel additive(the bmw stuff is the exact same thing, so just use which ever is cheaper).

Do you need to change a bulb or are you changing to custom lamps. If it is bulb replacement open trunk/boot (depending where you live ) the access for the tail lamps is at the rear corners of the trunk, If you are changing lamp lenses or assembly remove the screws( same location ) at lamp corners

This should be your brake pad wear light, Either brake pad is worn or loose wire on connection or wear sensor is faulty/damaged
