Multifunction switch may be bad .

Garret, Check wires and socket,running to that taillight for being pinched, damaged,bare copper or burnt. Also if you have a trailer light harness check it or disconnect.

usually through the trunk and push in on the bulb turn and it should come out

tail light bulb broken/out remove backside nuts and remove lens and replace as needed
taillight lens broken same thing remove backside nuts and replace ..for affordability try a salvage yard
as a temporary fix red or yellow electrical tape ...i hope one of them was an answer to this question as i dont have much to go on ...

open your trunk pull back the carpet and there should be plastic wing nuts turn those and the taillight should come out.

its real easy open trunk lid take rear sill off should just pop off then take trim panels each side then there are 4 bolts each side 10mm tkae bolts out firmly pull on tail lights they should come out and then reverse back

the (ABS) lights on my hyundai matrix remains on even after the car in is motion. i adjusted the hand brakes cable/replaced old brakes pads and checked the brakes on all the wheels, they are fine, but the light wont go out
