My keyless entry stop working. Both key fobs, batteries, etc are good. Also Door key cylinder will not turn. Are these related?

SOURCE: Wont start. 06 commander. Battery and connections are good.
have you tried jumping it off?If that doesnt work all i can think of is maybe the master relay,or the security light. when u turn ur key on does your security light blink? If so then your security is active an you'll have to have it towed in an have it deactivated. No promises though but in most my cases thats been it.
Testimonial: "ty for the help. What do you mean by jumping it off? I am going to check the security light in the am."

If it is a factory alarm you can't unhook it. Replace the switch attached to the lock cylinder inside the door. In the meantime, the switch on the passenger door may still be good. Cycle the key in the passenger door to see if it turns off the alarm.
SOURCE: my drivers side door stopped working electrically.
if you open the drivers door and look for the rubber boot near the hinge, pull the boot back and you will find a heavy blown wire with (i think with a red trace) will be broken. join the wire together and solder so it cant pull apart..
