Is the Ford Escape 1.6L EcoBoost knock sensor bolt torque spec the same as Ford Focus RS?

The torque should be around 12 to 18 ft/lb (16 to 24 Nm) on most engines. The settings for the Focus and the Escape are slightly different so work to about 15 ft/lb (20Nm) for both cars.

I'm trying to remove the transmission because it needs to be rebuilt. I cannot locate the bell housing cover however in order to remove the torque converter to drive plate bolts. Can you assist?

There is an inspection plate under the car at the bell housing. Remove the bolts and hand turn the engine over and start removing these bolts you see.

Where can I find a diagram for head bolt for 05 Focus

If all else fails, start at the center and use criss-cross pattern working from center out. Be sure if these are one time use bolts to replace them, and find correct torque specs from shop manual or dealer.

What is the torque sequence for the cylinder head on a 2005 ford focus

Stick all the bolts in and run them down snug. Start at the center bolt and torque it half spec. Then do the same with the rest in a circle from center to the outside. Then torque them to full spec from center to outside in a circle. This is normal procedure if the sequence is not available. You could always google it if you don't trust this old timers suggestion.

How do you disconnect engine from transmission? Where is torque converter bolts? 2000 ford focus 2.0

get the front end up on some jack stands, take the starter out, and you can access torque converter nuts from starter hole. you will need to turn the engine by hand and have someone else hold the engine still while you undo the nuts. Once those nuts are off and every thing else is removed from the transmission (CV shafts, wire connectors, etc) remove the bell housing bolts (5 or 6 I think) and pull (may need to pry with a bar some) the trans away from the engine and let it down gently. I believe (although I don't do much transmission work) that you may need to remove the sub-frame a as well.

I have a knocking sound from either lower end of engine or torque converter. The van has 126,000 miles and is a Ford 2005 E250.

sounds like rod bearings or a loose torque converter, check the bolts to the converter and also check the flex plate for cracks, that can cause a knock as well.

Need to remove rear brakes on a 2005 ford focus

Some people will tell you to remove the four bolt behind the drum but i think it is much easier to remove the middle bolt with a 30mm ratchet. But be careful to torque correctly the nut in place. I think it's 140 lbs i'm really not sure. If you do it by the four bolt, be careful with the abs sensor, i break mine lol
