It should be any code reader for 1996 and up vehicle which is OBD2 then google the code and it'll give you a list of possible causes or call your local auto parts store, give them your code and they'll be able to figure it out. O'reilly Auto Parts would be my opinion. And if you dont want to buy one because they can get pricey they do free engine light checks. It'll look something like "p0204" something of that nature.
