What type of code reader for a sprinter - 2010 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter

You might be able to buy a code reseter,and reader.

P0101, mass air flow circuit range, P242F appears to be a non code , may mean don't forget to repair previous code. Check and repair mass air flow problem . then delete code, code will reappear if fault not fixed.

This is really one where you need to have it checked using a 'code reader', but maybe the problem is that the gound in one of both of your seat belts is bad. A code reader will tell for sure. Hope this helps,

It need turn on with MB Star reader. This is the way i turned my cruise on .

55387 is what my code programmer has come up with but it could be wrong so only try it once ,the code readers i have will do older vehicles but a lot of newer vehicles use a different code reader so you have to go to the dealer ,

this code doesnt exist in VW or generic codes ,ask the code reader manufacturer for the decode numbers

Technical Description

Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit Malfunction

Basically this means that there's a problem with the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor or circuit.

You will likely not notice any serious driving problems, but there may be symptoms like a general decrease in power or sluggishness.
Causes

A code P0100 may mean one or more of the following:

* The MAF may be disconnected, or a wiring connection may be bad.
* The MAF sensor may be faulty.

Possible Solutions

Use an OBD II Reader (or go tou your local parts store and they will for free) and reset the code and see if it comes back.
Then start with the cheapest, easiest repair procedures:

* Check the Mass Air Flow Sensor wiring/harness is connected properly and that there are no broken / frayed wires.
* Unplug and reconnect the MAF wiring harness a few times to clear the contacts.
* Check the voltage of the MAF sensor (refer to a repair manual for vehicle specific information).
* Replace the MAF sensor.

the dealer shouldnt have to hand out radio codes to anyone. the dealer will need to see your licence and registration document to prove that you are the owner of the vehicle.
