Energy absorber and fascia are removed together. Cannot be separate on vehicle.
The parts are on eBay around 100 dollars. If you do the repair then you will have to remove the whole back bumper. There is no way to do this without removing the whole bumper.
Has any work been done back where the sensors are (body repairs etc.)? Perhaps someone "bumped" something against the bumper where one of the sensors is located? Most of those little sensors have plugs attached to the cars wiring harness. These plugs generally have a "rubberish" gasket around them that seal the connection when fully inserted and clipped. If they are failing when wet then one or more of the connections isn't fully made or the sealing gasket is missing and the system is shorting out. Less likely but possible is a cracked sensor which is allowing water into the circuitry and doing the same thing. Even less likely but still possible is damage in the wiring harness elsewhere on the car which allows the system to short out when it gets wet.
I have a 2010 300c estate. the rear window defroster button/air con button/ or re cirulation button do not work. They do not light up. everything else is working fine. get hot/cold air. everything else lights up perfect. what could it be ?
The warrenty should cover this problem. The oil pressure is a very important part of the powertrain.
As for the engine cutoff, this may be caused by the
powertrain control module shutting down the engine
due to little or no oil pressure to prevent serious
damage. This could be as simple as a bad oil pressure sending unit. But it could also be the oil
pump. In any case I would talk to the crysler dealer
to avoid voiding the warrenty. Hope this helps.
Good luck.
Most likely the problem you are experiencing with the park assist is a fault in one of the sensors mounted in the rear bumper. I would not consider it to be a major fix, however there will be a few hours labor involved as the bumper cover needs to be removed to replace the sensors.
take the front bumper off thats the only way to do it the right way its not hard then you will have 2 metal clips you can pop off with a flat head or pliers
