No, the sensor apparently never was the problem. But I think you need to revisit the cam sensor code-it's telling you something. About all you have to go on at this point, although I think eventually you may want to check the fuel pressure. That is one thing the computer doesn't monitor, and a common problem with hard starting.
The reason for a camshaft sensor is so the computer can synchronize injector pulsing with the intake valves opening. So it's crucial that it works right. There is a magnet, or something like that-never saw a Kia- on the cam that the cam sensor picks up a signal from, and relays it to the computer via the cam sensor circuit. Something is still wrong with that same code being set. Don't shoot the messenger again, go at it full throttle-find the problem.
