Not much information here to work with. Have a repair shop look at it and give a free estimate. They all will not charge to look at the leak. They will charge to fix it. If leak is on the passenger side then maybe a water pump.

My 1999 dodge caravan is still overheating. I have already replaced the thermostat and the water pump, also there is no heat. please help me someone!

Hi there.
Well you can either have a problem with either radiator outer {dust/dirt in outer core of radiator or clogged up inside were water goes, or soft hoses, blowen head gasket plus a few others ,but first go to garage to were you blow up your tyres and use the air hose and blow out the radiator core where the air goes in, 2 drain out radiator water and then refill with water at 1 ltr at a time and then check your info car book and find how much water the radiator takes ,if it dosent take all the ltrs then the radiator is blocked inside.
if engine runs rough missing etc then get your Head gasket checked out.
When you say no heat is that with heat on gauge or no heat from heater, as it could be heater blockage same as radiator core. So let me know how you get on.

Water leak behind alternator leaking on top of motor

This could be your water pump (large hose coming out and routed to bottom of radiator) or it could be a loose thermostat housing, (large hose coming to it from top of radiator) or it could be the hoses themselves.

My 2004 Passat has a water leak behind the engine. Does the upper radiator hose go over the engine and then down behind the engine.? I can't see back there. Does anyone know what it could be?

In back of the head theres is a plastic housing which holds the coolant temperature sensor and a few hoses. this platic housing is know for leaking. hope this helps good luck.

My 1998 jeep grand cherokee is running hot and leaking water, is the water pump bad?

well first i would check all the water hoses in the engine compartment for cracks and leaks then check around the radiater for leaks if you don't see any water leaking from the hoses or the radiater then try to see if you see water coming from the water pump behind the cooling fan if the water is leaking from behind the cooling fan then it is most likely your water pump

The fan on the radiator doesn't always come on, and there is a slow leak of water coming from the fan. What do you think is the problem?

Chances are that the radiator behind the fan has a leak (fan has no water supply so can't leak water). Have the system pressure tested to find the leak. As far as the fan not coming on, it is also likely that the sensor that controls it is sometimes deprived of coolant and therefore not reading properly (because of radiator leaking)
Therefore, have the radiator checked, repaired or replaced, then, if the fan still mis-behaves change the coolant sensor, check fan relay and connections. If water got into the fan motor, it may have caused a problem but the motor is supposed to be sealed and that's doubtful.

My 1999 gmc jimmy is leaking coolant, how do I know if it is the radiator or a water pump problem??? is this a difficult repair if it is the radiator????

If the coolant is leaking out of the radiator or out of the bottom of the radiator support then it is the radiator. The water pump is attached to the front of the motor. It's directly behind the fan. If the coolant is leaking down the front of the the engine then it is the water pump. Changing the radiator is a relatively easy repair with basic hand tools. I suggest purchasing a Chilton or Haynes manual for your vehicle. It will do wonders for your confidence having pictures and step by step guidance while you do the repair project.

Hi, My peugeot 206 is leaking water at the front of the car just behind the reg plate from a pipe looking thing. Is that my radiator leaking?

sounds like the water feed from the radiator to the engine, may just be a damaged or worn hose...if so, its a cheap easy fix

Radiator water loss

heat temperature evaporates water, therefore the water level will decrease on a more than daily basis as the vehicle is used. This is just one of the reasons for water loss (or usage). The radiotor drain plug migh be loose or worn. the plug is a white plastic like bolt on the base side of the radiator. Some hoses may be loose, worn or broken. the radiator itself may have a leak somewhere within the accordions. pour in some radiator stop leak.
also try coolant instead of water; coolant has a less evaporative density than water.
