On the I6 engine, it's right below the alternator.

SOURCE: how to i change thermostat in 2005 trailblazer

The thermostat is located behind and slightly below the alternator on the drivers side. For the best access to the thermostat, you should unbolt and move the alternator to reach the upper bolt. The lower Thermostat bolt can be reached by taking off the front drivers side tire and reaching in with a 24" extension. The actual bolts are 10mm. Hope this helps...

SOURCE: I had a new thermostat and thermostat sensor put

Maybe check if the fans are coming on when the car is at operating temperature. Also, may need a flush and fill of the antifreeze, since it's about 7 years old.

Where is the thermostat sensor located in a 2008 Chevy Trailblazer engine?

For the I6 engine, the actual thermostat is on the drivers side below the alternator. The coolant temp sensor is in a bad place. Approx 06' and up, they changed the location to the drivers side, wayyyy in the back. PITA to get to. 05' and older had it located right above the thermostat, was easy.

Location of 2007 chevy trailblazer thermostat

Follow the radiator hose back to the engine on the top side. Where the hose connects to the engine is the thermostat housing. Remove the hose clamp and hose (when vehicle is cool). remove the housing itself and the thermostat will be right in front of you. .

I need the locations of thermostats

Not quite sure when you say thermostat"s". or what size engine you have but what I went on and did was give you the location of the cooling system thermostat for the most common engine for a Trailblazer for your year (4.2 liter). If this is the one, just letting you know that that thermostat comes as a complete unit water outlet and thermostat together. they don't sell it separate. Hope this is what you were looking for and I hope this helps.

What could cause code PO128 to come up on a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer

Sounds like the thermostat may be stuck open or has anyone put a colder thermostat in the car, because once it starts to get cold it will throw a SES with a colder then stock thermostat.

Code PO128; coolant temp below thermostat regulating temp. Replace the thermostat and that should address your issue.

Thank you for using fixya and good uck

I have 2005 chevy trailblazer heater wont work,

Sounds like your water pump is going out or your thermostat is stuck. Check the thermostat first and make sure it is not frozen in the clsed position.

P0172 and P0128 Error Code 2003 Trailblazer 4WD

PO172 means that an oxygen sensor in bank 1 detected a rich condition (too little oxygen in the exhaust). I would replace the thermostat first. The computer could be injecting too much fuel because it thinks it never gets to operating temperature. That may keep the light off.
