SOURCE: engine starts but shuts down immeditately

1989 Chrysler 2.5 L Turbo has a duel hall effect pick-up in the distributor. It is possible that the pick-up is not working. A "start and stall" indicates that this may be the problem.
Another problem may be the fuel system. Check fuel pressure with key on... should be 40-50 psi on multi-port. 30-40 on TBI
PS If the auto shutdown relay quit then you would not get a start at all. PSS oil pressure will cause a similer problem

SOURCE: 1997 Chrysler Sebring starts everytime but shuts

It sounds like you computer system has gone into "Theft Protect Mode". There is most likely a problem with your security system and the computer "thinks" that the vehicle is being stolen. This can be due to the wrong key being used, or it could be a bad ignition switch or theft module. I would recommend having it diagnosed professionally. It would be very difficult to diagnose the problem without the required computer diagnostic equipment. If any of the parts of the security system are defective, the computer will have to be reprogrammed when they are replaced.

I would, however try a different key in the ignition if you have more than one - before having it towed to a repair facility. If another key works, you will only need to get a replacement key and have it programmed for your car.

SOURCE: My 2000 Chrysler Sebring JXI cuts off while i am

Hi,
Since it sounds where this is intermittent, I would be looking to replace the camshaft or shaft speed sensor. I had a similar problem and could not find anything wrong with the car when it ran... So I told my mechanic to replace that, since it is an electrical senor, it is something that can work fine and cut out for no reason. Disabling the car for awhile. Almost as if it gets to a certain temperature that it will not read the speed and the car shuts down as it is programed to do.

Hello... There is no spark on the sparkplugs and no fuel to the engine. What is wrong? Chrysler lebaron 2.5L-4 cylinders

First, a no spark condition would either be a faulty ignition coil or a faulty distributor ignition pickup. The first thing you need to do is get spark back then if it will not start you will need to check the fuel pressure it should be 15 psi..

No reverse only drives for 30 seconds limp mode???? please help!

P1388 = Auto Shutdown (ASD) relay control circuit open or shorted.
The ASD relay routes battery power to the ignition coils, and is energized by the PCM as long as it receives signals from both the crankshaft and camshaft position sensors. If the engine stops turning (stalls), the PCM deengerizes the ASD relay and shuts down the ignition system. The ASD relay also supplies battery voltage to the fuel injectors, so when it shuts down it cuts off both ignition and fuel. At the same time, the PCM also deenergizes the fuel pump relay to turn off the fuel pump. For "limp in" capability, the Chrysler system can run with input from the crankshaft position sensor only. The ASD and fuel pump relays are both located in the Power Distribution Center.
