The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects the engine operating and driving conditions, along with the exhaust gas oxygen content. Various switches, sensors and components provide the PCM with information which allows it to control the air/fuel ratio (mixture), emissions and drivability.
To get to the PCM you would have to remove the parking brake and shift consoles and then the gearshift knob and and boot...I know, GREAT place to put a part needing to be serviced!
