SOURCE: 1994 buick roadmaster serpentine belt installation

there is a belt tensioner that keeps the belt tight you have to either use a serpentine belt wrench or a breaker bar to move the tensioner to remove the belt. often times you can rent the serpentine belt wrench from a auto parts store like O'Reilly's for a small deposit which you get back after you return the wrench

SOURCE: how to remove the door panel on 1994 buick

you'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. Then pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything.

Have a 94 buick roadmaster, while driven it has a bad miss to it. It excelerate fine but while driven and stoped at red light it excelerate up and down,up and down.

Sounds like your sucking in some air through the fuel but try this first...new plugs and wires, distributer, fuel filter and air filter... total cost should be under 200 if you do it your self.... and it isn't rocket science but it sure sounds like your sucking air....

My Buick roadmaster 1994 won't start changed the fuel filter but that didn't help put a brand new battery in it and it is not the starter.

Have you checked the fuel pump or fuse? First check for a blown fuse. I belive that is an electrical pump, when you turn the key on with engine off, you should hear a slight whine. The whine is the pump turning on and sending fuel to the enigne. Another way to check is to hook up a fuel presseure gauge to the fuel rail on top of the motor. There will be a rail that conects the fuel line to the injectors the rail is near the spark plugs, there should be a "capped" connection on the end of the rail. Remove the cap, hook up your gauge and check the pressure. Pressure varies w/ model, but it should be above 20psi. If you don't get a reading with the key on that indicates the problem is with the pump or the wiring going to the pump. Do a quick voltage test with the pump connections if you get 12 volts the pump is bad, if not there is damage to the wiring, a fuse is blown or the solenoid for the pump is bad. Avg life for a fuel pump is 100,000 to 150,000miles

Steve, go to buickforums.com. They have a roadmaster section with a lot of dedicated roadies, some are fanatics in their loyalty to those Buicks. I believe there are a good amount of sharp people on everything Roadmaster. They should know all the ins and outs of that code 84 and what to do about it. Joining is free to register.

Now personally, I don't think a reflash can be done on a '94 model, that is still OBD-1, but I cannot speak with certainty.

Still no turnover on buick roadmaster, could it be fuelpump relay?? I had same problem last week & replaced fuel filter & it started & ran great, this morning, same problem turns over & no...

more likely fuel pump itsself. More likely the fuel pump is getting weak, getting stuck, or plugged. Fuel injected systems need a lot of pressure, so if you're not getting a lot of fuel out of the rail, then the pressure's not adequate.
