On my 1998 lexus gs 400 if i remove fues on my abs system will my speedometer work

does it go off if u un-plug the switch? if u un-plug it and it goes out I think that you have a bad switch. hit a gunk yard and pull one out for 10$..Matty

Hi...the needle assembly at the speedometer is faulty. Because your dash instrument is all electronics with no cables or moving parts attached, your whole instrument needs to be placed....hope this helps.

the plastic gear on speed sensor is broken , replace , this is on transm. rear case

It certainly is the master cyclinder that has failed. The piston seals are passing fluid by them and your feeling a mushy pedal or having to "pump" them to get the brakes to work.

A word to the wise once this symptom appears the day will come when you hit the brake and nothing will happen. (i.e an accident waiting to happen)

PLEASE do not ignore the need to get it fixed for you own personal safety.

On a purchase parts note: There is nothing wrong with getting a rebuilt master cylinder to replace the one in your car. (NAPA / Autozone)

start by checking fuses are there any warning lights on,some of these systems pick up the speed reading from the abs
