I don't know what your dash layout is but you must be able to set the clock time.

If the clock display is in the hooded centre dash panel press set for more than one second to enter clock/date menu then press set briefly to move through the settings. Try pressing H and M at the same time to change from 12 to 24 clock.

First is to adjust the dash lights which is on your light control. Should be a thumb toggle that you use to turn on your dome lights. All the way up will brighten your dash and clock lights. There should also be a setting in your menu on the clock/radio itself.

I would say that you have a bad connection either where the clock is plugged in ,or inside the clock it self. You would have to go behind the dash board to find the problem. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

the dash dimmer turned down? i guess you mean parking lights and dash dimmer, is dead in clock. but is it dead in the whole dash?
if the dash is dimming and the clock dim lamp is dead (park) then its bad. (check fuses in all cases first)

I wonder if it is the fuel pump that sounds just like a car I was workint on cranked forever charged cranked more finally started up changed the pump and never had a problem

fuse box under dash ( left side ) fuse # 24 7.5amp and fuse #10 10amp hope this helps.

You may have to replace the clock. Cleaners that you are using to clean the dash, may have damaged the cover.

Sounds like your clock is dying. This is typically an issue with the clock itself. This is very common with many vehicles, CR-Vs, Pathfinders, 4runners, etc. The good news is that it can be repaired for a reasonable rate, check out www.autoclockrepair.com

You shouldn't have to remove the dash to replace a clock, the dash basically does not come out. It would take you 2 days to do it. The clock itself should pop out of its spot and be serviceable.

Is it the cruise control light? It looks kinda like a clock.
