I have a 93 Chrysler t and c van It started to spit and spudder and pop and then lost almost all power. it would go only about 5mph. what can I check to try and fix it?

Clean the idle speed control valve in the upper intake near the throttle valve with CRC brand throttle cleaner.

try tune up

smoke smell like burning oil or hot antifreeze..

The oil pressure light probably came on when the engine stopped.
You would have lost your power accessories then too.
Someone will need to figure out if you have lost fuel to the injectors and/or spark to the plugs to know where to look for the problem.

Van was running fine,just lost power and just has the sound of trying to turnover but will not start.

A good pump and a bad one look identical; problem with the bad one is that after running for a while, it gets hat, begins to bind and then stops. Once cooled down, it will repeat the process. Even when pressure testing, it may "seem" fine but not be., 'till it gets bad enough to show up during testing. Your crank position sensor can act the same way, so can an ignition coil. (internal expansion during heating shows internal shorting.) When in "no start" check for spark. This should separate fuel problem from ignition related stuff. Then, go from there. Do real testing...guessing and replacing parts can cost you a fortune.

Use fuel line/injector cleaner this is a common problem. Also try higher octane gas for a tank or 2 and get her ou on the highway and blow he cobwebs outta he fuel system and exhaust

There is a loud squeak on the front of my 1991 ls 400. The squeak is near the alternator. Any one no what it is?
