SOURCE: Car cranks but won't start. Diagnostic code says

I changed all the parts I mentioned and finally I decided to try the crank shaft sensor and if that didn't work I was going to replace the cam shaft sensor. Luckily the crank shaft sensor worked but only after I replaced all the other parts. But at least now it finally started.

Thsank you.

SOURCE: 2003 Chrysler Intrepid Sensor reads P0700

P0700 is a code in the engine computer telling you that you have codes in the transmission computer. You need to have the transmission computer scanned.

P0700 is a generic transmission code a code reader which reads transmission codes will narrow the code down. P1775 may be from a transmission code reader. found some info on it above.

My van is a 1996 chrysler town & country ; i was driving and it shuts off and then i turn the key and it started but after that went to the store just just fine when came back to the van to start it...

Have the codes read. This will start you in the right direction. Quit taking advice from people who are guessing. The van died , the check engine light is on. read the codes and then we can help. Unless you want me to guess also.

2005 Chrysler T+C Van drives fine but has P1776 and P0700 codes - I have the descriptions. One piece of information i came acros points to the easy replacement of a $6 solenoid, though no details are...

The only thing I can suggest is to replace the $6 solenoid and reset the codes by disconnecting your battery for a few minutes and see if it codes up again. I think that may at least clear the P0700 (Tansmission Control System Malfunction) and if P 1776 comes back - then perhaps a transmission shop needs to look at it. Let me know how it works out. Thanks.

you need to put a scanner on it and see what code comes up.
my guess would be the crank sensor which is very common .

1992 Chrysler Town & Country, Starting problems

Have you cycled key , on,off,on,off,on, leave on, & see if check engine light flashes out any codes? It will give a few quick flashes, then pause, then a few more flashes. For example: 3 flashes, pause, 3 more flashes, is code 33. 2 flashes, pause, 2 more, is code 22. Will always be in sets of 2 digits, then a little longer pause in between each. When you get 5, pause & 5 more, that's end of message code 55. Try it and get back to us. Have a pen & paper ready when you are ready.

Transmission Problems

code P0700 means that there is a code in the trans controller. P0605 means there is an internal failure in the trans controller that can not be repaired. The only step in checking this code is replacing the trans controller. The controller is not the solenoid pack . Its the actual transmission computer.
