I have a 94 ford f150, wouldn't start, turned over just wouldn't start. Put a set of plugs in it, cranked right up. Ran about 30 minutes, cut it off and it won't crank back up. Changed the plugs again

SOURCE: 98 Ford F150 w/4.6l Wont start. Hear fuel pump

have diagnostic codes checked to see if you have a cam or crank sensor fault. make sure fuel pressure is at the required pressure, just testing to see if you have fuel at the valve is not enough. replace all spark plug wires. if you replaced two then all are just as old and even when they "look good" does not qualify as "they are good". Replace coil pack. start up drive away happy

SOURCE: 1996 ford f150 cuts off

Look for rotten or broken vacuum lines around the throttle body and the EGR rail. Also, if you have a two tank system, wiggle the tank selector switch from front to rear several times and then try starting it again and see how it runs. If it seems to clear the problem, run for a few days and then replace it. This was my problem. A $12 part and it would also give erratic engine codes. It would run excellent after a hard time starting and cut right out for no reason. It has to be something simple! A smooth running engine does not just quit. Also check the fuel pump relays (tapping them or swapping them cleans the contact surfaces and also check the wiring underneath the modules for any green corrosion or exfoliation) and associated wiring harnesses for damage or moisture or greasyness. A flashlight and mirror is useful for this. I can not empasize enough to check all over for vacuum leaks. Loose twisty hosing signals leaks too. replace or cut shorter to make a new seal. Good luck!

SOURCE: Have 2002 Ford Explorer. Wouldn't crank, changed plugs and did tune-up, replaced fuel filter. Ran fine few days then wouldn't start again. Replaced battery, store said I had bad cell. Cranked

Your alternator might be bad also, or the crank sensor

SOURCE: 1988 ford f150 4x4 351 will crank then shut right back off

You might have a breathing problem on your car such as the air filter, vacuum lines, or a clog in the exhaust like the catalytic converter.

I have a 1989 Ford f150 drive for about 30 minutes it dies out or stop and want crank for about an hour

I would unplug the gas cap when it stalls; if you hear a hissing sound, change the gas cap, because it builds up a vacuum in the tank.

2001 Ford f150 ran fine, 30 minutes later it cranked rapidly but never started again?

Get a can of Starting fluid from the parts store and spray it into the air intake hose to the engine, if it fires up and stalls right away you have a fuel pressure issue, more than likely a defective electric fuel pump inside the gas tank.

Engine will not turn over. starter motor bound up.

Cylinders may have filled with oil. Try disconnecting ignition coil to disable spark. Trip fuel cut off to disable fuel delivery. Pull all spark plugs and try cranking engine over. . If it won't crank over with plugs removed, you've got internal damage
