You might want to contact Ford. There was a class action lawsuit regarding bad brake pressure sensor that caught fire. Gentleman in Iowa died in garage fire attributed to defect. Might want to contact a lawyer.
You left out alot of info. We need more to be able to help you. What caused the fire, etc. Did you already check your fuses ( both under the dash and under the hood)? Is your check engine light temporarily coming on when you turn the key on? Can you hear the fuel pump come on when you turn the key on?
you have most likely burned a fuseable link to the starter, check all the fuses under the hood, also check the wires to the starter, the large one from the battery especially
Most probably...a loose electrical connection. Since you mentioned that the electrical power and the engine got cut off and after sitting for a brief of time, the van cranked back up. You need to check the wiring to see if there's any loose connection.

1342 firing order ,listen its been 40 years since i had one of these cars ,cant be difficult they only had 6 fuses of the glass type ,just need to get ign switch feeds right ,doesnt matter about amperages just use 25 amp in them all it wont hurt
