I have a hatchback 2004 Aveo. I've looked in the back but I'm not sure which cable is which (there are cables back there for the lights) - once I find the cable, what do I do to actually fix the problem with the lever. I don't want to have to pull up all this material everytime I need to put gas in the car. Should I take it in to the mechanic?

you can access them from under the package tray inside your trunk compartment

Try with key on, press gas pedal to the floor three times then turn key off & back on. This should reset it.

To open the fuel filler door, pull up on the release lever with a gas pump symbol on it. It is located on the floor on the left side of the driver's seat.
Please leave feedback if this helped. Thanks!
SOURCE: Replace Fuel Filter on 2006 Chevy Aveo Hatchback
If the fuel filter is mounted inside the fuel tank at the pump it does not need replacing and is a permanent filter. All you have to do it follow the fuel lines from the fuel tank to the engine. If the filter is mounted in the fuel line you will find it.
SOURCE: how do you change an oxygen sensor on 2006 chevy aveo
There is a special socket for O2 sensors which allow the wires to stick out and not get twisted up. It's not expensive and available at most auto parts stores. Disconnect the sensor from the wiring harness, with the plug and then use the socket to remove and replace the new sensor. Re-connect electrical plug.
